Pastor P. Douglas Cronce, Jr.

Background

Pastor Doug was nurtured in the faith at a young age in his home church in Ringoes, New Jersey.  He made a commitment to Christ at age 15 at Word of Life Camp in the Adirondacks.  A sense of call to Christian ministry came during college days at Grove City College in Western, Pennsylvania.  He holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.

Doug and his wife, Roberta, have two grown children, Christopher and Anne.  The family still enjoys their annual week at the Massanetta Springs Bible Conference in the Shenandoah Valley and jump at any chance to camp at Holland State Park along beautiful Lake Michigan.

Since being called to the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, Doug has served as Moderator of Lehigh Presbytery in 2006 followed by six years on the Committee on Ministry.  His previous call was at the Dickinson Presbyterian Church in Carlisle, PA where he served for 13 years.

Mission has always been a passion.  Doug and Roberta partnered with Carlisle Presbytery on a Search for Peace in the Middle East traveling to Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Israel.  A more recent short term mission took him to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Ask him why Ephesians 2:8,9 was so formative in hearing God’s call.
